The new SK Slow Hopper is an amazing flying machine, This original Kinkade design has two sets of flapping wings, slightly staggered and stacked one above the other onto a single body and tail. Two sets of main gears and connecting rods flap the wings out of phase in a pattern similar to a horses' gallop resulting in a smooth flapping motion. Double the normal wing area of a Slow Hawk, the Slow Hopper has stable and predictable flight characteristics and is capable of slowing down to a crawl in the air but climbs out rapidly with power applied. It glides amazingly well too with no need for a glide-loc mechanism as the machine will glide with almost any wing position. This ornithopter may be more aptly called an "entomopter" as it has a rather dragonfly or insectoid appearance although it is not based upon any known insect species.
The Slow Hopper kit comes ARF with easy assembly. It requires the same basic radio system as our other parkflyer ornithopters.
